Announcement regarding change in German MAUT from December 1st 2023

We would like to inform you of an upcoming change in Germany.
This will impact the transport sector and also your goods when transported through, from or to Germany.

The German government plans to increase the MAUT from €0.19 per km to €0.35 per km from December 1st this year. This represents an 83% increase.
The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMDV) will increase the road tax for large freight vehicles by €200 per tonne of CO2 emissions as part of an agreement with the ruling coalition.
The increase is meant to contribute to the maintenance or expansion of Germany’s extensive rail and road network.

As you will understand, we are forced to charge this cost increase.
