On the road: ”Because we are very much on the same wavelength we don’t have any problems or disagreements”
Iosif Robert and Elena Geczi are from Romania and have been “on the road” for Van Duuren for more than three years. Often to Spain, but also to destinations such as Paris, Liège and Brussels. ‘A favourite route?’ Robert asks, laughing. ‘No, we don’t really have one. Every trip has its attractive and less attractive parts.’ The couple, who have been together for eleven years, like to eat at their favourite restaurant sited above the A4 motorway, but often also cook when they are en route. ‘We both really like mushrooms with asparagus and potatoes,’ says Elena. And no, she is not the only one that cooks. ‘We don’t have our own individual tasks,’ she explains. Robert nods in agreement. ‘Maybe that’s why we still get on so well together. We’re often on the road together for two weeks for Van Duuren, but because we are very much on the same wavelength we don’t have any problems or disagreements.’
