Successful Customers Day on Amsterdam’s canals
The weather was ideal and the atmosphere perfect: on Thursday 12 July, personnel from Van Duuren Interport and their clients met on this year’s first Customers Day.
There seemed to have been some very positive reactions to the idea of meeting one another during a boat trip through Amsterdam. ‘We could invite more than 70 clients,’ says commercial director Niek Eijsberg. ‘It was really great to have the chance to welcome clients both from Interport and Van Duuren aboard one big boat.’
Conviviality and the enjoyment of a beautiful summer afternoon were of course the main priorities, but the day also had a substantive element, Niek relates. ‘We informed our clients about our Business Intelligence reports. We occupy ourselves constantly with the question as to where we as Van Duuren Interport can best add value in our approach to the logistics business. We are becoming increasingly better at interpreting and analysing our data. On the basis of this data we, together with our own Business Intelligence team, can put forward corrective actions and thus – supported by quantifiable results – we can improve the quality of our service. During this successful day we were able to invite our clients to enter into discussion with us on this subject.’
