Van Duuren Domestic starts with Direct to Consumer service

Starting this month Van Duuren is introducing a new service: Direct to Consumer. This service enables Van Duuren’s business clients to deliver their deliveries directly to the end customer / consumer.

Marco de Jong explains: “This service is particularly interesting for companies that have oversized products transported. These are larger shipments that do not fit into the large distributors’ parcel network, for example furniture, bicycles or garden products.”

The Direct to Consumer service was created partly because of the big increase in e-commerce under the influence of the corona pandemic, says Jeroen van Duuren: “Even in this crisis we are constantly looking for new opportunities and for ways to provide our clients with optimal support. This service is a good example of that.” Marco de Jong adds: “We offer a combination of b2b and b2c and that is a big advantage for the customer. They can use us as a one-stop shop. For example, a company that imports bicycles can use us to deliver bicycles both to a wholesaler and to individual consumers who order the bicycle themselves online. The customer can make a personal appointment regarding date and time and follow the shipment via track & trace. We can also meet special requirements of our retail customers on a made-to-measure basis.”
