Carlos Menendez, and Marcel Haleber look back on a successful business trip to Liège. Carlos is responsible for Sales & Account Management in the branch office in Barcelona. Marcel is an account specialist based in Vianen. “It is good to visit customers with whom we have a close relationship, also in person”, says Carlos. The two of them like to give insight into their personal way of networking.

“The driver of the truck in the picture is loading for our customer Belgium Post to Madrid Correos, the postal services in Spain”, says Carlos pointing to the picture. “I also visited our customer Cal Cargo together with Marcel. We regularly load for them from Spain.”
The originally Spanish account manager has a good relationship with Cal Cargo. “Especially the Operations Manager, Nicolas Lopez Calvo, I know well. We have been working together for eight years and they are very satisfied with our performance”, he continues enthusiastically. “He likes the price/quality ratio and also Nicolas likes the fact that I always send all possibilities and prices within 15 minutes after a request.
The two of them have also agreed with Françoise Darimont of Cacesa. “Cacesa has set up a new branch at Liège airport”, Marcel Haleber knows. “The company does a lot for Ali Baba and other e-commerce companies, including Pandora, Asics, Salomon and Amazon. The conversation with her was very positive and she will certainly approach us for rates and transports.” Carlos completes: “We have been working with Cacesa in Spain for over twenty years. I know Rodrigo Peñas from the Spanish branch well. He has promised to work with Francoise Darimont to explore business opportunities.”

Finally, the two visited Ez Cargo. Carlos: “Ez Cargo is a broker and they work with both air freight and freight forwarders. This contact will also be continued.”
