“I’ve been working with Van Duuren for over seven years now,” says Ion Lorent Rac, for friends ‘Lorent’. “The relationship between the colleagues in the office and on the road is top-notch! Together we deliver a good performance and that in turn brings pleasure to the work we do.”
Lorent is based in Madrid and drives from there to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. “I am usually away for between five and twelve days before I see my wife and son again. Well, family is the only thing I really miss when I am working. Apart from that, I can highly recommend the profession of truck driver to everyone! Laughs: “I see myself as a working tourist.”
It also helps, according to this enthusiastic Spanish driver, that the comfort of work has been improved by technology and the facilities that trucks offer nowadays. “In a small space, we have well organised sleeping, eating and relaxation.”
