Oltean Gheorghe Florin knows exactly: he has been driving for Van Duuren for five years and two months when we speak to him. Most of his trips are to France, England, or Italy. Florin doesn’t really mind which route he takes. “As long as I’m driving, because this job gives me so much joy.” Usually, the driver, who was born in the city of Cluj-Napoca, is away from home for three months. On the road, he enjoys eating chicken with fries when he’s in England or a homemade cordon bleu. “I don’t have any children, but my wife is always waiting for me at home. We still live in Cluj, in the heart of Romania. She’s not alone, because we have our cats together and, of course, the chickens roaming around the yard. The collaboration with Van Duuren is serious and correct, and I appreciate that very much. It has given me a completely different perspective on transportation after twenty years.”
