Driver Ivo Hirstov drives for Van Duuren to France and Italy and sometimes to the Czech Republic, Austria and Great Britain. “I have good memories of my trips to England, but I also like to visit Italy,” he says. He recently started driving Van Duuren’s new secure trailer. According to Hirstov, this makes his work much easier, but he is especially pleased with the security system. “The PIN code lock gives me the peace of mind I need when I take a break.” On the road, he even prefers to cook. “Only when I’m in a hurry will I stop by Mc Donalds. I prefer to cook our traditional Bulgarian dishes myself.” He is often away from home for two or three months. “Then I do miss my wife and 12-year-old daughter. Fortunately, the five weeks I can be home after that make up for a lot.”
