Lucinda Cordeiro Rum Guerra Ines and Joao Manuel Durao Cordeiro Ines Manuel Corpeiro have been driving together for Van Duuren for four years to Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Portugal.
“The partnership is relaxed,” says Manuel. “For the staff at Van Duuren we are ‘Los Abuelos’ which means grandparents. Then I see a message: ‘the Abuelos have unloaded or loaded everything again’.”
“We’re not the youngest anymore either,” adds wife Lucinda, laughing. “Our two children are 41 and 45. So it’s no problem at all if we are away from home for a month and a half.” The couple hardly have any arguments. Manuel: “We always eat in the truck and cook ourselves. Sometimes we take a break in a restaurant. Always in good harmony.” Lucinda: “We are a perfect team and we are very happy with that.”
